Well I've never seen cows in the middle of the road for REAL before, but last night I had a very interesting encounter with not one, but two aimless cows!
I was on my way to a dinner party that some of my new co-workers were having and I took back roads to get there. As I came over the crest of a hill, I saw two cows: a brown one and a holstein (i.e. regular, lol) walking side by side backwards and forth down the road. I tried to go around them but then the brown one locked eyes with me and made a beeline straight for my front bumper.
Luckily my brakes made a squeal and startled the large brown animal into a halt or else I would've smacked right into it!
And such an unusual paring too. Maybe they were star-crossed lovers making a run for it because it was the only way they could live a happy life together...
I laughed all the rest of the way to dinner because WHEN do cows ever escape like that??
(All the time maybe, but my little eyes have never seen it.)
(p.s. In case you're wondering, the cops were called and the cows were taken home.)
Also, you know what has been rubbing me the wrong way all day? My sweater! I am positive that it has shrunk. But not the obvious kind of shrinking. The annoying kind of shrinking where if there was any shrinkage, it was definitely less than a centimeter so things don't look too unusual, but something just doesn't quite feel right..
....at all....
no matter how much you tug on the sleeves.
I eventually felt like my clothes were quietly mocking me.
